Crane Hook Block

Lifting Crane Hook Block is an integral part of the hoisting mechanism of overhead cranes and gantry cranes and is suspended from the wire rope of the hoisting mechanism. As the primary load handling device, the Crane Hook Block is often used in conjunction with electric hoists and winches for the common lowering of hooks for gripping and lifting loads. Crane Hook Blocks are supplied as standard with a hook safety locking pin and an integrated pulley (single or multiple) to increase lifting efficiency.

Crane Hook Blocks can be divided into two main types according to their structural form: single crane hook block and double crane hook block.

The Crane Hook Block consists of a hook, hook beam, thrust bearing, hook nut, pulley, pulley shaft, side plate, safety latch, etc. The following are the detailed functions of each component:

Hooks and beams: Forged or laminated construction for high strength; double hook version for heavy-duty applications (20 to 500 tons).

Thrust bearing and nut system: Optimized load distribution and anti-rotation design for safe load handling.

Pulley assembly: Precision-machined grooves with hardened surfaces for smooth rope operation.

Modular side panels: High-strength steel plates with standardized mounting interfaces for ease of maintenance.

Safety Latch: Mechanical locking structure to prevent accidental unhooking of slings/spreaders during lifting.

• Adopting a 360° free rotation mechanism to realize lifting and positioning without a dead angle, and easy to operate.
• Maintenance-free design and equipped with permanently lubricated anti-friction bearings to reduce rotational resistance.

• Hook body is made of DIN34 standard 17200CrMoV alloy steel, quenched + tempered heat treatment process, tensile strength ≥850MPa, hardness HRC 28-32.
• It is equipped with a spring-loaded safety latch as standard, and adopts an anti-bounce design to ensure the safety of the sling.

• The Crane Hook Blocks are usually used in conjunction with overhead cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes and electric hoists, and are widely used in the following scenarios:
• Precision equipment installation: for lifting precision instruments, medical equipment, semiconductor equipment, aerospace components, etc.
• Heavy Machinery Manufacturing: Usually adopts double hook skidder set, used for lifting 50-300t engineering machinery structural parts (such as excavator arm), generator set, pressure vessel and so on.
• Iron and steel metallurgy industry: used for lifting steel ladle, continuous casting billet, rolling equipment and so on.
• Port container operation: used for lifting standard containers, bulk cargo spreaders, marine equipment, etc.
